I’m Marta Serraggiotto, a children’s book author-illustrator based in Padova, Italy.
I am collaborating with Likes Publishing on Super Fearo The Ant Superhero: a picture book coming out in April 2025, so stay tuned!
I am currently studying Psychological science at the University of Padova in an international bachelor. This is allowing me to get to know and appreciate cultures and traditions from all around the world.
I’m also a member of the European Association for Child and Adolescent Psychopathology (AEPEA).
My studies are focused on Developmental and Educational Psychology and every day I work to incorporate them in my books and projects.
I’ve studied Digital Illustration at the International School of Comics.
I have illustrated Sparkles: The New Generation ( the fourth book of the Sparkles series), as well as the covers for all the books of the series ( The Adventures of Sparkles, Sparkles and Friends, More Adventures with Princess Sparkles, Sparkles: The New Generation).
I have always loved writing, illustrating and creating stories, and when I was a kid I often found myself surrounded by my own versions of classic tales.
My illustrations and my stories are deeply influenced by the memories of my childhood between cherry and apricot trees, the adventures with my friends and the little things around us that spark my imagination.
With my art I want to highlight the magic of childhood and the world that surrounds us.
When I’m not working on books you can find me swing dancing or trying to sew.
Sono Marta Serraggiotto, un’illustratrice di libri per bambini e ragazzi di Padova (Veneto, Italia) e ho studiato Illustrazione Digitale alla Scuola Internazionale di Comics.
Attualmente collaboro con Likes Publishing.
Ho frequentato il Liceo Classico Tito Livio e sto studiando Psychological Science all’Università degli Studi di Padova.
Faccio parte del Gruppo Infanzia Adolescenza Parentalità (GIAP, emanazione della Sezione italiana dell’AEPEA: Association Européenne de Psychopathologie de l’Enfant et de l’Adolescent).
Ho illustrato Sparkles: The New Generation (il quarto libro della Sparkles series), così come le copertine di tutti i libri della serie ( The Adventures of Sparkles, Sparkles and Friends, More Adventures with Princess Sparkles, Sparkles: The New Generation).
Ho sempre adorato scrivere, illustrare e creare storie e, quando ero bambina, mi sono spesso trovata sommersa dalle mie versioni delle fiabe più classiche. Le mie illustrazioni e le mie storie sono profondamente influenzate dai ricordi della mia infanzia passata tra alberi di ciliegie e albicocche, le avventure con i miei amici e le piccole cose attorno a noi che fanno viaggiare la mia immaginazione.
Con la mia arte cerco di sottolineare la magia dell’infanzia e del mondo che ci circonda.
Nel tempo libero potete trovarmi a ballare swing o a scoprire nuovi passatempi (finalmente sto imparando a cucire).
